There are two types of character creators: one for People, and one for Dinosaurs.
All custom pieces can be unlocked once you have the specific characters and/or dinosaurs unlocked for those set pieces.
You can customize your own characters in Jurassic World, by heading to the triangular building in the main square and going to either the wall with the changing rooms or the lab with the dinosaur customizer. For custom people, you choose a base class and then customize your character's weapon and pieces to look like whatever you want! As for custom dinosaurs, you pick a base dinosaur such as a Velociraptor, and then choose different dinosaur parts for each part of the dinosaur! You can have combinations such as a Velociraptor with a T-Rex head, or a T-Rex with a Stegosaurus tail! There are many possibilities and a various amount of changes you can make. In LEGO Jurassic World, you are able to create your own custom characters and dinosaurs.
